Shadow Secretary of
State for the Environment Visits Challis Water Controls Head Office

Shadow Secretary of State for
the Environment The Rt Hon Theresa May MP recently visited the head office
of Challis Water Controls to lend her support to the inclusion of the
Aquiv8 water
saving shower head on the Governments Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme.
This government sponsored scheme
is designed to promote the use of water and energy efficient products
in order to achieve the governments Carbon Emissions reduction targets.
Products included on the approved
list are eligible for 100% tax relief (in the first year) on the purchase
and as such makes the purchase of these water saving units very tax efficient.
Until now the ECA scheme has
not allowed water saving shower heads on to the scheme despite the Aquiv8
shower head meeting and in some cases exceeding qualification requirements.
Hopefully the support of The Shadow Secretary of State will result in
a change to this anomaly
